Hoffman Shuffled Away from Parks Position
Submitted by Kurt Repanshek on March 20, 2006 - 6:46am
Well, it seems as if Paul Hoffman's fleeting fame as a prime motivator behind the rewrite of the National Park Service's Management Policies is over.
Hoffman, who has worked as assistant deputy director of the Interior Department's fish, wildlife and parks section, apparently has been reassigned to Interior's Policy, Management and Budget section where he will ride herd over the Government Performance and Results Act.
The Act was created about a decade ago by Congress, which wanted federal agencies to prove their worth by establishing performance goals and ways to measure attainment of those goals.
