Progress is being made on getting Glacier National Park's Going-to-the-Sun Road completely open, but it's kinda slow.
While park officials hope to open the gate at the Jackson Glacier Overlook this Saturday, allowing you to drive from St. Mary to Logan Pass, construction is delaying complete opening of the road on the west side of the park from Apgar Village to the pass.
The construction is near the west tunnel and officials don't think they'll get the area cleaned up and ready for traffic until sometime next week.
Also, while the Logan Pass Visitor Center will not open this weekend, the restrooms at the pass will.
