Share

Grcamohavept_copy     Grand Canyon rangers today are trying to retrieve a body, and a car, spotted below the West Rim in an area known as "The Abyss."
The car was spotted about 500 feet below the rim yesterday by a flight crew responding to a medical emergency on the Bright Angel Trail. The body spotted by the crew was about 150 feet above the car.
The Abyss is located just west of Mohave Point and below the Hermit Road.
