Officials Still Mulling Yosemite Access Solution

It's been roughly nine months since a rock slide clattered down across California 140 just a dozen miles west of Yosemite, and highway officials are still trying to figure out the best way to provide full access to the park along the road.
Among the latest ideas is a plan to bore a tunnel through the wall of the Merced River canyon. Another thought is to build permanent bridges to replace the temporary ones erected last summer to allow traffic from the Mariposa area to reach Yosemite through the Arch Rock Entrance.
However, from reading this story it sounds like it could be at least another year before a solution is implemented.
