We're starting to see a bit more diplomacy in efforts to keep a coal mine from being developed in the headwaters of the Flathead River north of Glacier National Park.
According to a story in Montana's Missoulian newspaper, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice plans to discuss the proposed Cline Mine with her Canadian counterpart during meetings in Norway this week.
Specifically, Secretary of State Rice is expected to ask Canadian Foreign Minister Peter MacKay to have his country conduct a full environmental review of the proposed mine.
