Loveland Herald: Careful With Fee Creep

There must be something in the air. Another newspaper has come out against the fee creep that is not-so-stealthily sweeping the national parks. This time it's the Loveland (Colorado) Reporter-Herald.
Recent news that entrance fees at national parks, including Rocky Mountain, Mesa Verde and Black Canyon of the Gunnison, could increase over the next three years may give Colorado residents one more reason to avoid these natural treasures, writes the paper's editorial board.
This editorial focuses a bit more on the proposed increases in annual park passes than on the daily/weekly entrance fee creep. Still, it's one more position against fee creep. I'd be curious to know National Park Service Director Mary Bomar's reaction to the growing opposition.
