Gas prices are
again on the fast-track skyward, so the average family with 2.5
children is already feeling the pinch when they venture out on a summer
vacation. Camping under the stars in our national parks is a common
adventure for families looking to save on lodging costs, so it is a
shame that even this alternative is becoming harder to swallow
financially.
So says the Bennington (Vermont) Banner, which also is urging the National Park Service to use some restraint in its recent spate of fee creep. The rest of the editorial can be found here.
