Glacier's Shuttle System Rolling Along the Sun Road

Folks heading to Glacier can now let someone else do the driving once they reach the park. The park's Going-to-the-Sun shuttle system is now up and running and can drop you at a number of campgrounds and trailheads along the Sun Road.

They had a grand opening of the Apgar Transit Center yesterday to kickoff the shuttle system and show off the center, which is located at Apgar Village.

Shuttles can get you just about anywhere along the Going-to-the-Sun Road, as there are stops at the Fish Creek Campground, Apgar Village, Apgar Campground, Lake McDonald Lodge, the Sprague Creek Campground, Avalanche Creek, the Loop, and Logan Pass on the west side of the park, and Siyeh Bend, Gunsight Pass Trailhead, St. Mary Falls, Sunrift Gorge, Sun Point, Rising Sun and the St. Mary Visitor Center on the east side.

The shuttles are scheduled to run through Labor Day.
