Kurt has been invited to a round table radio discussion today (Sept 5) about the National Parks. The San Francisco radio station, KALW, produces a daily show called "Your Call", which is a political affairs call-in program on public radio. Today's show, scheduled to air between 10 am and 11 am Pacific time ( 1 pm to 2 pm Eastern ), will cover NPS specific topics. Details of the program from the KALW website,

What is happening with our national parks? On the next Your Call we’ll discuss the state of parks in year seven of the Bush Administration. The National Park Service says it has an $8 billion backlog of maintenance projects and a further $100 million was cut this year. With final plans in place now for the centennial celebration of the parks in 2016, what projects do you want at your favorite national park?
