Voyageurs National Park Not Overlooking Halloween
Submitted by Kurt Repanshek on October 20, 2008 - 8:57am

Looking for a way to mark Halloween in the National Park System? Consider a visit to Voyageurs National Park this Friday for a holiday-theme naturalist hike.
The hike, which gets under way at 7 p.m. from the Rainy Lake Visitor Center, includes a short program on night senses and a naturalist-led hike on the Oberholtzer Trail, which will be lit by luminaries.
Along the way you'll learn about the night creatures of Voyageurs as you walk along the trail. After the walk, enjoy a campfire and marshmallows. Park officials promise a "howling good time" for the entire family.
