Glacier National Park Was Popular With Boaters Even Back in the 1920s
Submitted by Kurt Repanshek on June 13, 2009 - 2:34am

Boating at Glacier National Park, as this film shows, long has been popular. NPS photo of boats on Lake McDonald by David Restivo.
Despite it's name, Glacier National Park is a pretty great place for boating and fishing. And, as this vintage film clearly shows, that's been true for a long time. But why is the man in the film pulling a boat upstream? And where in the park can you find Lake McDermott?
