Live, from Yellowstone National Park!

Twice a week for the next three weeks you'll be able to bring a live Yellowstone National Park ranger into your home. Ranger George Heinz will present live webcasts, beamed across the Internet, from Geyser Hill in Yellowstone's Upper Geyser Basin.

The programs are set to run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a morning program offered at 11 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time (1 p.m. Eastern, noon Central, and 10 a.m. Pacific), and an afternoon show at 2 p.m. Mountain (4 p.m. Eastern, 3 p.m. Central, 1 p.m. Pacific).

During the morning program Ranger Heinz will discuss the history of the area and the historic structures that still survive today, as well as those that have been lost to time. Historic photos are being used to illustrate the buildings that are no longer present. The afternoon program will revolve around Yellowstone's hydrothermal features.

The live programs, which are scheduled to run through August 14, can be viewed on the Old Faithful Live Streaming Webcam at http://www.nps.gov/yell/photosmultimedia/yellowstonelive.htm .
