Could this be a scene out of Star Trek? Are those transporter pods? The setting certainly does have that sci-fi appeal to it, no? But where in the National Park System is it?
At Falling Waters, Frank Lloyd Wright house.
No, not Falling Waters.
It looks like a modpod egg chair. I think they were designed for the 1964 New York World's Fair. Originals are pretty rare and expensive. Did not know the NPS had any of these.
Nope, not Rushmore.
Is it Alagnak Wild River?
Nope, not Alagnak.
If it's not the Dr. Spock child discipline research park then I give.
Boy, I'd like to say you're close....but not even;-)
I saw some mention of egg chairs being used for an audio program at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park.
I've never been to Klondike Gold Rush NHP, but I do know this photo wasn't taken there.
It's a GS-15 Superintendent indoctrination chamber in the basement of DOI in Washington DC
Yellowstone WY. Watching old faithful.
As the saying goes, 'you're getting warm...' But what are they, and where in Yellowstone?
From the foyer area inside old faithful lodge.
Are they in a fire lookout? (Thought maybe "getting warm" was a hint?)
These chairs were used in the Fishing Bridge VC
You're soooo close, anonymous, that I should give it to you. Right park, but wrong location...and without identifying the purpose of the chairs. We're so close to the end of the day.....the answer will be posted early Thursday.
