Well, obviously not wanting to play second fiddle to the Rockies, which has already received its first snowstorm or two of the season, the High Sierra is showing off its wintry coat today. Check out this shot of Yosemite National Park from the webcam at the Tioga Pass Entrance station.
The view, looking westward, shows the aftermath of a storm that moved through the area Tuesday and early Wednesday.
And in case you're wondering, yes, the road is closed to vehicles.

Wow, what a scene. I drove thru here Thursday Oct. 8 last week and fall colors weren't even in full strength yet.
Beautiful picture! We used to live in Merced ('87-"90) and would visit often. Moved back to WNY and still miss Yosemite very much.Last there in 2008 for my daughters wedding.
