Investigation Under Way Into Death of Man At Glacier National Park
Officials from Glacier National Park, the FBI, the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the state of Montana on Friday were looking into the death of a Montana man found with multiple wounds inside the park's Two Medicine Valley.
Clinton Croff, 30, of Browning, Montana, was reportedly involved in altercations near road construction traffic on the road into the Two Medicine Valley, a park release said. Park rangers responded to the incident and found the man "combative and suffering from multiple wounds."
While rangers began to perform emergency medical treatment on Mr. Croff, he soon collapsed and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation was administered, according to park officials. Those efforts were unsuccessful and Mr. Croff was pronounced dead of undetermined causes at approximately 11:30 a.m., added the release.
The Two Medicine Valley is located on the park’s southeast side near the community of East Glacier. Browning, just east of the park, is home to the Blackfeet Nation.
Further details will be released, pending the investigation.
