Help Your Favorite National Park Land A $100,000 Grant

Share

What's your favorite park? Yellowstone or Yosemite, Acadia or Zion, Great Smoky or Denali? Now through the end of August you can help your favorite land a $100,000 grant by voting in a National Park Foundation contest.

The funding comes from Coca-Cola, which will give the $100,000 to the state or national park that lands the most votes by August 31. There is no limit to the number of times you can vote, either. To cast your ballot, visit this site.

As of mid-day Tuesday, Great Smoky Mountains National Park was leading the balloting, with 81,494 votes. No other national park was in the top five. Back in second with 66,094 votes was Little Ocmulgee State Park in Georgia. Yellowstone, meanwhile, stood sixth with just 11,569 votes.
