The latest edition of Yosemite Nature Notes takes you into the high country of Yosemite National Park to learn about glaciers, such as the Lyell Glacier. Screen capture from "Glaciers."
Last month we let you take a peek "behind the scenes" with Steven Bumgardner and his crew at Yosemite Nature Notes as they were working on a segment about glaciers in Yosemite National Park. Well, here's the resulting product, which is a great primer on the park's glaciers.
Note: This is a large file, and to avoid buffering interruptions you might want to let the entire file load before playing.

The series of professional-quality videos produced by the NPS in cooperation with the Yosemite Conservancy is outstanding and an effective way to reach out to a public who have not yet had the chance to visit Yosemite National Park. For those of us who have summited Mt. Lyell, this video brings back wonderful memories.
