If you enjoy the dark, don't mind the cold, and like to explore by snowshoe, considering joining the Night Light Snowshoe Hike at Voyageurs national Park later this month.
Friends of Voyageurs National Park will be celebrating Icebox Days with the nightime snowshoe hike on January 18. After the hike, you'll be able to warm up around a campfire.
Snowshoes for this adventure will be provided. But it is suggested that you bring a headlamp with red or green filters for best nighttime vision.
To join the fun, meet inside the Rainy Lake Visitor Center on Friday, January 18, at 6 p.m. The program runs until 7:30 p.m. Recommended for ages 8 and up. No fee or registration is required to attend.
