Blue Ridge Parkway Awards Concessions Contract For Peaks Of Otter Lodge

Share

Delaware North Parks & Resorts, which last year landed the contract to run concessions at Shenandoah National Park, has added the Peaks of Otter Lodge on the Blue Ridge Parkway to its operations.

The lodge, restaurant, and retail stores are located along Milepost 86 on the Parkway.

This concessions contract will run for 10 years. Along with the lodge, restaurant, and retail stores, Delaware North will operate the Sharp Top Shuttle service.

Delaware North Companies Parks and Resorts currently operate concessions at flagship national parks; including the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Shenandoah.

Parkway management is encouraging Delaware North to reach out to employees and the community and introduce themselves and their plans as soon as possible. The Parkway is optimistic the lodge will reopen early this summer.

Parkway management is continuing to evaluate options for future operations at Bluffs Lodge and Otter Creek.
