You can receive some free instruction on your art talent this Saturday at Arches National Park in Utah, where the park's resident artist will offer lessons.

Arches' 2013 Community Artist-in-the-Parks, Sarah Hamingson, will offer the pastel lessons -- all materials provided -- at the North end of the Park Avenue Trail at 10 a.m., 11: a.m., & noon. Or you can simply drop in anytime from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

(Park at Courthouse Towers Viewpoint and follow signs across the road.)

Saturday evening, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Moab Arts & Recreation Center, you can view “A Season in the Parks” displaying Ms. Hamingson's work as Community Artist. The exhibit will be on display through early December.

The Community Artist-in-the-Parks program highlights the connection between a southeast Utah artist and his/her inspiration.
