Man Falls 350 Feet To His Death At Grand Canyon National Park

A Texas man visiting Grand Canyon National Park has fallen 350 feet to his death.

Park officials say John N. Anderson, 53, of Grapevine, Texas, fell from the South Rim near El Tovar at approximately 8 a.m. on Saturday. The man was visiting the park with his family.

Rangers were able to locate the man and began CPR. All efforts to resuscitate the victim were unsuccessful.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the National Park Service in coordination with the Coconino County Medical Examiner. No further information is available at this time.
