Enter your photos in the 2016 Dry Tortugas photo contest!/Yankee Freedom III

The Yankee Freedom III, the official ferry to Dry Tortugas National Park, has announced the second annual Dry Tortugas and Fort Jefferson National Park Photo Contest. The contest kicked off on June 1 and will end on May 31, 2017, at 11:59 p.m.

Photography and nature enthusiasts and anyone visiting the Dry Tortugas National Park are invited to “Discover, Explore and Capture” the spectacular natural beauty of the area in a photograph, tag #DryTortugas and share on Instagram or Twitter to win monthly prizes and to be entered in the Grand Prize which is a $500 Visa gift card.

Each month, a panel of judges will review all photos tagged with #DryTortugas and select the top five for public voting on the DryTortugas.com website. The photograph with the most votes each month will win a National Park annual pass and a chance to be the grand prize winner of a $500 Visa Gift Card.

The previous contest boasted 11,746 photos entered and a total of 74,774 votes cast.
