Park Service Proposing Backcountry Camp Relocations At North Cascades

Past problems with flooding have the National Park Service at North Cascades National Park proposing to relocate the Graybeal Hiker and Stock camps along the Brush Creek Trail. There's also a need to construct additional backcountry camp accommodations for the Pacific Crest Trail long-distance permit holders along the Bridge Creek Trail.

Paving Project At Mather Campground In Grand Canyon NP Will Create Issues

A project to repave roads and parking areas within Mather Campground at Grand Canyon National Park will begin in early June and continue through October 2022. Periodic closures will occur within Mather Campground throughout the summer and a fixed number of sites will be available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

FAA, NPS Running Behind On Finalizing Air Tour Management Plans For Parks

Despite more than two decades to get the task accomplished, and almost two years after a federal judge ordered the Federal Aviation Administration and National Park Service to get the job done by this summer, air tour management plans for eight national parks will not be completed on schedule, according to court documents filed by the two agencies.
