President Calls On Congress To Bolster National Park Service In Time For Its Centennial

An Obama administration legislative proposal to bolster the National Park Service in its centennial year calls on Congress to better fund the agency and also seeks higher camping and lodging fees, as well as a significant increase in the cost of a lifetime senior pass, to raise revenues that could only be spent in the National Park System if matched on a "1-to-1 basis by nonfederal donations..."
