Paradise is scheduled to get more expensive to visit, as officials at Haleakala National Park in Hawaii are proposing to increase their entrance fees.
The current $10 fee that buys you three days of access to the park will double come January 1, 2008. Also scheduled to double is the $5 fee pedestrians and those on bikes are charged to enter.
The public comment periods begins May 1 and runs until June 15. You can submit comments either via mail to Superintendent Marilyn Parris at Haleakala National Park, P.O. Box 369, Makawao, Hawaii, 96768, or email her directly at [email protected].
