Moonbow over Yosemite Falls
Posted May 4th, 2008 by ADJ
A moonbow is a similar effect to a rainbow that occurs when a full moon is bright and in the right position to be refracted by a waterfall. Moonbows happen over lower Yosemite Falls two or three times a year. You can learn more about them and when they will occur in 2008/2009 at this site: http://uweb.txstate.edu/~do01/. Strangely you can photograph a moonbow, but all you see is a white bow with the naked eye.

ADJ,
When you're editing your post, scroll down until you see the "File Attachments" link. That's where you can attach photos.
It's somewhat ironic that you mention moonbows, as Bob and I were talking just the other day about Top 10 Moonscapes in the park system. Looking forward to your shots.
Cheers,
Kurt
