  • The prospect of a dark, moonless sky over Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site in New Hampshire has park staff planning a night-time hike to combine snowshoeing and stargazing later this month.

  • The winter and early spring seasons are especially fine times to enjoy birding at Everglades National Park, and the staff has invited the public to participate in several "citizen science" activities to help count birds in the park. The final two "Big Day Birding Adventures" programs for this year will be held on March 14 and 28, 2015.

  • With spring, and warmer weather, around the corner, raptors will soon be nesting on the cliffs and crags of Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado and Zion National Park in Utah, and so temporary closures have been put in place in the two parks.
