I realize that the text is a bit small in that image, sorry. The "Why" section above reads: "In August, Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne announced a plan for the 10-year-long National Park Centennial Challenge, which will provide much-needed help for our national parks. National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) has developed 5 Ways America Can Fix Our National Parks, starting with a significant funding increase for parks in next year's budget. Join us for a panel discussion about the challenges facing our parks and the tremendous opportunity we have to -- Restore * Reinvest * Reinvigorate * Research * Represent -- our national parks and protect them for future generations!"
I've heard today that both Congressman Dicks and Baird have confirmed their place on the panel tonight. I plan on attending. If there is anything of interest to report, I'll have it here on Park Remark this week.
