Hot Shots : NPS Fire Photos of 2006

I'm still here! I know it has been a few days since my last post. The extra time I typically reserve for Park Remark has been tied up this week preparing taxes for the National Park Service ... and every other government program that wants my federal tax dollars. The check is now in the mail, and it's time to talk once again about parks!

A quick one today. This is a story I enjoyed sharing last year, and because it's an annual program, I get to share it once again. The National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) holds a contest to find the best photos taken on the subject of fire within the park system. The contest is open to anyone, and winners get their photos highlighted on the website and receive a bag of goodies from the NIFC.

The photo attached to this post is one of the winners (there were two this year). This photo is identified as having been taken within Dinosaur National Monument. If I find out more info on the photo or photographer, I'll post it here.
