My copy of the latest National Geographic magazine arrived in the mail today. To my pleasant surprise, the cover story this month is about the Grand Canyon. The article is titled : "The Unexpected Canyon", with photographs by Michael Nichols. I must admit, I have not had a chance to read the article yet. But I can tell you this, the photos are stunning. I counted 8 full page or double page photographs in the article. If you are not a subscriber to the magazine and are a fan of Grand Canyon National Park, it is worth stopping by a magazine stand to pick up this copy. There is an online feature at nationalgeographic.com that has some additional content that is interesting, including 5 photos that are not in the magazine. Update: Found this article in the Arizona Republic about how and where the National Geographic photographer made his photos for the magazine. Photography tips for Grand Canyon
