Postal Service Releases Three New Park Stamps

The United States Postal Service today issued three new stamps with gorgeous images of three National Parks in a collection called the Scenic American Landscapes series. The stamps carry international rates, so there is probably only a slim chance you'll see one show up in your own mailbox. But, if you are a collector, these would make a nice addition to your set. The Postal Service will introduce these new stamps today at a ceremony at the visitors center in Bryce Canyon National Park. Click the stamps below for a larger image.


Bryce Canyon's Bryce Amphitheater in southern Utah photographed by Tom Till of Moab, Utah. Erosion shaped the landscape into countless whimsical spires known as hoodoos.


This international 75-cent stamp features a photograph of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park at sunset, taken by David Muench of Santa Barbara, Calif. This view from Clingmans Dome includes portions of both North Carolina and Tennessee.


This international rate stamp features a photograph of the Gates of the Valley in Yosemite National Park, taken by Galen Rowell of Emeryville, Calif. Text on the stamp reads, "Yosemite National Park, California."
