The Park Remark book selection for April is "Hey Ranger : True Tales of Humor & Misadventure from America's National Parks". It looks like a book that's got a sense for the lighter side of National Park adventures. Kurt at the National Parks Traveler reviewed this book back in November, and it looks like it met with his approval. We'll get a discussion going on "Hey Ranger" here at Park Remark somewhere near the end of April. Here's a little more about the book, as described on the official website:During a thirty year career as a national park ranger, Jim Burnett lived and worked in eight different parks all across the country, from Montana to Texas and Arizona to Virginia. Along the way, he encountered a multitude of park visitors and an amazing variety of situations. Hey Ranger! recounts some of the most memorable and hilarious examples of those experiences in a book which everyone from seasoned outdoorsmen to armchair travelers will find both entertaining and enlightening. If you'd like to join in, the book is available to buy online. The current new price at Amazon.com is $11.02 before shipping.
And, it's still not too late to get in on March's book selection "Desert Solitaire". Look for a post about Ed Abbey's book near the end of the month, in about 10 days.
