National Park Service: Rim Of The Valley Study Suggests Expansion Of Santa Monica Mountains NRA

A long look at whether a landscape that generally includes the mountains encircling San Fernando, La Crescenta, Santa Clarita, Simi and Conejo Valleys of Los Angeles and Ventura counties in California should be designated a unit of the National Park System is suggesting that 173,000 acres be added to Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.

Red-Legged Frog Tadpoles Released In Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area

Things hopefully will be hopping in the near future in Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area in California, where hundreds of California red-legged frog tadpoles have been released as part of the first-ever effort to expand the range of the threatened species in Southern California.
