Quicktime
Geology is the main attraction at Canyonlands National Park. Cheslar Park photo by Kurt Repanshek.
Rock. In every direction you glance in Canyonlands National Park your eye confronts rock. And whether it's twisted, contorted, or shattered rock, it's also more likely than not incredibly colorful.
Geology, and time, conspire to do that. And it's that incredible landscape that justifies the creation of Canyonlands as a national park.
Spend a little time with this 15-minute video and you'll gain a better appreciation not just for the national park, but for the geology behind it.
