Angel Falls is one of the many rapids that lure paddlers to Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area in Tennessee and Kentucky. NPS photo.
Running rivers ain't always pretty, as this short video from Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area clearly shows.
The video was filmed by Chris Arp, a paddler from Knoxville Tennessee.
Located on 125,000 acres of the Cumberland Plateau, this national river and recreation area protects the free-flowing Big South Fork of the Cumberland River and its tributaries. The area boasts miles of scenic gorges and sandstone bluffs, is rich with natural and historic features, and has been developed to provide visitors with a wide range of outdoor recreational activities.

Interesting video. I'll be headed to Big South Fork and Obed National Scenic Riverway tomorrow.
