Will a warming climate erase this field of wildflowers in Glacier National Park? Kurt Repanshek photo.
Climate change isn't only expected to erase the glaciers in Glacier National Park. It's also expected to change the vegetation across the park, wiping out meadows of wildflowers with forests prone to burn.
In this short Quicktime video Dr. Dan Fagre, an ecologist in the park, explains how heavier mid-winter precipitation, followed by quicker warm up in spring, will alter the face of Glacier National Park.
