The hallmark of Arches National Park is Delicate Arch, but that's not the only reason to visit the park. Landscape Arch is just about as famous, the Fiery Furnace is a great stone maze to tour with a ranger, and Balanced Rock continues to bedevil gravity...at least for now. How long might it be before gravity wins the battle, as it did last summer with Wall Arch?
For those who dread hiking in Arches' high summer heat, Balanced Rock is right along the main road through the park. In fact, there's a parking lot right across from it.

And the last time I was there, there was a dump right across from the parking lot.
Jesus, Frank, give it a rest. Do you just enjoy cutting NPT down at every turn?
I'm surprised how my one sentence of fact can lead to swearing and a censorial imperative. My statement of fact is not intended to disparage NPT, as it is simply a statement of fact about Arches National Park.
