Description: The National Park Service is planning to construct a ranger operations building at the Coronado National Memorial, a unit of the National Park Service. We propose to locate this facility where the Montezuma Ranch was located in an area previously disturbed within the park. The building is needed to provide ranger offices and support the operations necessitated by the close proximity to the US/Mexico border. The rangers currently operate out of two small offices in a shared 1966 era remodeled house that serves as the Headquarters for the park staff. There are no other suitable facilities that meet our needs in the area near or in the park. Due to border issues the park expects to increase the ranger staff.

Some of the actions we anticipate including in this project are:
1. Construct an office building that is approximately 2400 square feet.
2. Surface parking area adjacent to the building.
3. Install a septic system.
4. Enlarge the existing well house and upgrade the pump and water treatment system.
5. Remove the existing deteriorated abandoned ranch buildings and underground storage tanks.
