Comment Now: Great Sand Dunes National Park, Scoping On Proposed National Forest Access Road

Description: The Rio Grande National Forest and the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve are seeking comments concerning two closely related projects; an amendment to the Rio Grande Forest Plan to include the Baca Mountain Tract, and a proposed road to provide public motorized access to the National Forest across the GSDNPP.

Open house style public meetings for these projects will be held on May 14, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the White Eagle Village Conference Center, 67485 County Road T, Moffat, Colorado, and on May 15, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Alamosa County Commissioners Room 108B, 8900 Independence Way in Alamosa, Colorado.
