The Yellowstone Park Foundation

The Yellowstone Park Foundation is the official fund-raising partner of Yellowstone National Park. The Foundation provides everyone who cares about the world’s first national park the opportunity to become a Friend of Yellowstone and help protect the wonders and wildlife of this special place.

The mission of the Yellowstone Park Foundation is to work in cooperation with the National Park Service to fund projects and programs that protect, preserve, and enhance the natural and cultural resources and the visitor experience of Yellowstone.

The nonprofit Yellowstone Park Foundation raises funds to address both short- and long-term needs of the Park that are not adequately covered by federal funding. Each year, the Foundation makes grants to projects that make the difference between a great park and an extraordinary park, such as:

* Conserving wildlife and fisheries

* Repairing trails and backcountry cabins

* Expanding educational opportunities

* Sponsoring critical scientific research studies

* Preserving Yellowstone’s cultural heritage

* Supporting Park visitor and ranger safety
