Climber Dies in Fall from Half Dome

Share

A California rock climber died when he fell while trying to scale the face of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. Rangers say 35-year-old Bela Feher fell between 100 and 150 feet. His body was discovered by other climbers on September 14th.
Feher, who had technical rock climbing gear with him, apparently was trying to scale the "Slab Route" on the face of the dome. He was climbing alone.
