Traveling the Natchez Trace Parkway through the South later this month? Consider stopping at the Williamson County Courthouse in Franklin, Tennessee, for some bluegrass.
The Bluegrass along the Harpeth Fiddlers Jamboree will take place Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27, at the courthouse in downtown Franklin. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. on Friday, July 26, featuring David Travis with Hands Of Time & Breaking Grass.
On Saturday, July 27, competition begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 10 p.m. Competitors will compete in mandolin, flat-top guitar, dulcimer, banjo, junior fiddle, old time banjo, junior freestyle clog and buck-dancing, beginner musician, beginner freestyle clogging, old-time string band, old-time singing, bluegrass bands, senior fiddle with finals in band competitions only.
