Friends Of Saguaro National Park's Online Auction Running All This Week

Share

How can supporting a good cause earn you a trip into the backcountry of Saguaro National Park or to Hawaii? When it relates to this week's online auction in support of Friends of Saguaro National Park.

The wilderness trip involves a weekend for four to join a park ranger at the Manning Cabin and Camp high in Saguaro's Rincon Mountain District.

"You'll be housed for two nights in the park's rustic seasonal tent/cabins (usually available to park staff and researchers only), and you'll have all your food and other necessities provided or packed-up by mule (although weight limits will apply)," the trip's description says. "Each participant will need to be physically fit -- as the 10-mile hike to the cabin is strenuous -- but the views, and the experience, will be well worth it!"

One of the Hawaiian trips lands the winning bidder seven days and six nights at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa, Economy Class air for two, and a 5-hour Molokini & Turtle Arches Snorkel Excursion.

There are plenty of other prizes to bid on, from trips to Banff, Alberta, and Philadelphia with a sidetrip to Gettysburg National Military Park, to three nights in Jackson, Wyoming, the gateway to Grand Teton National Park and even a jaunt to San Francisco.

The online auction will be running throughout National Park Week, with all auction proceeds going to support the friends group's projects and programs in Saguaro National Park in southern Arizona.
