Stretch Of White Rim Road In Canyonlands National Park To Be Closed In July

Share

If you're planning to mountain bike the White Rim Road in Canyonlands National Park in July, know that a short stretch of the road will be closed for a few days to all travelers.

Park officials say the need to replace a section of culvert will require the road to be closed from July 7 through July 11. The closure area is from the junction of the Shafer Trail Road and the Potash Road to Musselman Arch along the White Rim Road. This section of road will be closed to all vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians during the construction period. Completion of the entire 100-mile White Rim Road loop during this time will not be possible.

You can contact the park’s Backcountry Reservation Office at 435-719-4351 for information regarding backcountry trip options.
