Summer Programs Offered At Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site

Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site in New Hampshire will offer visitors an opportunity this summer to participate in historically inspired recreational activities at the park.

Group recreation played a major role in the lifestyle of Augustus Saint-Gaudens and the Cornish Art Colony, forging camaraderie among its members and a sense of pride for their surrounding landscape. Visit the park this summer and you can discover where the Saint-Gaudens' family and their friends played outdoor bowling and golf, went swimming and fishing, and enjoyed other outdoor pastimes.

Participation is included with the standard park admission fee. Weather conditions permitting, activities and dates will be:

Summer Recreation Series Evening Presentation

* Wednesday June 3, 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m., meet at the Visitor Center

Join park staff for an introduction on the health and well-being of Augustus Saint-Gaudens and for an outdoor tour of the park site highlighting recreational points of interest. 

Outdoor Activities

Try one of the park's outdoor activities inspired by those played by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and his friends.

* Bocce Ball: Saturday June 6, 2 p.m.-3 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.-4:15 p.m.

Historic Nature hikes: Saturday June 13, 2 p.m.-4 p.m.

* Badminton: Saturday June 20, 2 p.m.-3 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.-4:15 p.m.
