You can help put smiles on youth and broaden their knowledge of the natural world by contributing to a drive to bring more students to Acadia National Park and bolster the youth programs there.
The children who fall in love with Acadia today will be the adults who care for this place 50 years from now. Friends of Acadia works year-in and year-out to help the National Park Service protect, preserve, and spread the word of wonders in Acadia. All of the group's work—to maintain historic trails and carriage roads, to preserve the Acadia visitor experience, and to protect Acadia’s lands, waters, wildlife, and starry skies—depends on its success in connecting kids, teens, and young adults to the wonders of Acadia National Park.
Now the friends group has an opportunity to strengthen its youth programs—and all of its important efforts in Acadia—with a $12,000 Spring Membership E-Challenge from a small group of committed friends. Every gift made to Friends of Acadia between now and March 14 will be matched until the $12,000 goal is reached.
You can contribute to the campaign at this site. And with your annual membership-level donation of $35 or more, you will receive the Friends of Acadia Journal three times per year.
