NATIONAL PARK MYSTERY PHOTO

A total of 16 Mystery Photo quizzes were posted during 2009. This quiz is intended to be a monthly feature -- and has been since last August -- but we got a late start and didn’t offer the first one until May. We made up for lost time by posting several a month until July when we switched to the once-a-month schedule we’ll now try to maintain in 2010.

#1 Wow – This is One Big Boulder!
#2 Where In the National Park System Does Puck Reside?
#3 It's All In the Patterns
#4 What Cabin Is that Yonder?
#5 Which Way Does The Wind Blow?
#6 A Movie-Goers Special
#7 Who Was This Maiden?
#8 Well, It's Kinda Oval
#9 What Sort of Reviewing Stand Might This Be?
#10 Name that Location
#11 And What Room Might This Be?
#12 Lots of Water Out There
#13 Beam Me Up Scotty!
#14 You Might Know What This Is, But Where is It?
#15 What's She Smiling About?
#16 Something Curious This Way Came

NATIONAL PARK MYSTERY SPOT

We posted six Mystery Spot quizzes this past year. Readers had a lot of fun with them, so we’re going to continue offering one a month.

#1 Joe DiMaggio and Babe Ruth Used It
#2 You Walk Around, I’ll Walk In
#3 Do the Math
#4 Standing Tall In the Middle
#5 A Jenny May Take You There
#6 You Might hear It Before You See It

NATIONAL PARK MYSTERY PLANT

Only four Mystery Plant brain teasers were posted in 2009, but we’re planning to make it a regular monthly feature beginning this month.

#1 Will This “Lime-Green Cancer” Derail Everglades Restoration?
#2 There’s a Good Reason They Call This Thing the “Death Apple”
#3 It’s Toxic, and Livestock Producers Hate It
#4 This “Tree from Hell” Smells Like Rancid Peanut Butter

Comments

This is a terrific part of Traveler. Thanks for all the hard work, and I'm looking forward to brain teasers in 2010!

Thanks for the positive feedback, Barky. We'll try to maintain our high standards in 2010. I must admit that it's getting tougher and tougher to stump Traveler readers, though. You guys are an exceptionally well informed bunch.
