Did National Park Service Overlook Court Rulings In Abdicating Wildlife Management Responsibilities At Grand Teton?

A National Park Service decision that gave Wyoming officials control over wildlife management on private and state lands within Grand Teton National Park seems to have sidestepped historic negotiations that led to today's Grand Teton National Park, as well as longstanding court rulings that have upheld the Park Service's authority to manage all wildlife within the park, even on non-federal lands.

Big Bend and Acadia are also extremely popular birding parks. But which of the 59 national parks gets the least birding attention? Voyageurs National Park Turning 40!

Four decades ago, on April 8, 1975, Voyageurs National Park was established as the country's 36th national park. This April, the nation celebrates Voyageurs’ 40th birthday. 2015 also marks the 50th anniversary of Voyageurs’ founding nonprofit partner, Voyageurs National Park Association. Together, the park and its partner will celebrate this anniversary and thank their many visitors, supporters, partners, and volunteers with a full year of special events.
