Gunplay On Blue Ridge Parkway Leaves One Dead

Share

Gunplay on the Blue Ridge Park near Roanoke, Virginia, left one dead Tuesday, park officials said. The shooting was believed to have stemmed from a road rage incident.

The shooting between two men occurred about 10:30 a.m. near Milepost 116.5. The name of the killed man, who died after being taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, was being held pending notification of next of kin. The other man involved, 56-year-old Keith Sidwell, called 911 to report the incident, a park release said. He was being held by authorities.

The FBI and National Park Service were handling the investigation with assistance from Roanoke County CID.

This title is WRONG, this is not "Gunplay" in any form. This is murder, uncontrolled road rage stupidity and easy access to guns by people incapable of controlling themselves, it is murder NOT "gunplay"

Rick, our dictionary defines "gunplay" as "the exchange of gunshots, usually with intent to wound or kill."

I believe the term 'gunplay' is not the same as 'play with guns'.
