A story on a Canadian national park that protects farmland won honorable mention in the Travel Media Association of Canada awards.

National Parks Traveler has been honored for its Canadian coverage by the Travel Media Association of Canada.

The 2021 TMAC Awards were handed out at the association's recent TMAC conference held within the Yarmouth and Acadian Shores region of Nova Scotia at the Rodd Grand Yarmouth Hotel. There were more than 400 submissions for 71 awards in 15 categories.

The Traveler’s Canada editor Jennifer Bain won honorable mention for Best Outdoor Adventure, Sport or Recreation Story for “Hiking Through A Canadian National Park That Protects Farmland” published March 24, 2021. The category was sponsored by Tourism Belize.

A story on Sable Island National Park Reserve won honorable mention.

Canadian freelancer Maureen Littlejohn won honorable mention for Best Nature or Environmental/Responsible Tourism Story for “Call Of The Wild Horses On Sable Island” published Jan. 27, 2021. The category was sponsored by Destination British Columbia.
